Lily Yap is a compassionate, relationally focused counselor who supports couples to rebuild connection, restore trust, and deepen emotional intimacy. She work with couples experiencing disconnection, feeling unheard, or navigating the impact of ruptures such as infidelity or breaches of trust. With a gentle, caring, and empathetic approach, Lily creates a safe space where both partners can express themselves openly and feel genuinely heard and understood.


She is passionate about helping couples slow down and listen to one another with empathy, supporting each partner to better understand the other’s perspective. This includes working through conflict, strengthening communication, and navigating transitions such as changes in the relationship or parenting challenges.


Lily draws on evidence-based approaches including Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, and Collaborative Couples Therapy. Their work focuses on helping couples move out of reactive patterns, rebuild trust after hurt, and develop more secure, supportive ways of relating.
Through a collaborative and supportive process, Lily helps couples reconnect, communicate more effectively, and create a stronger, more meaningful relationship.

Qualifications

  • Masters in Adult Education

  • Healing Trauma with Guided Drawing

  • Level 1 Gottman Training
