Shannon (she/her) is a general psychologist who has seen many people who have faced extremely difficult situations with incredible courage and resilience. It’s this ability to overcome and thrive that’s driven Shannon’s passion for mental health. Shannon feels that these people who she’s had the privilege of working with throughout her extensive career are an inspiration and have given her hope for our future.
Shannon is trained in the areas of schema therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She is an accredited Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) clinician, focusing on treatment of trauma and has experience working with dissociative disorders.
Shannon also has a special interest in working with LGBTQIA+ adults. As a neurodivergent clinician, Shannon has lived experience which supports her ability to conduct assessments of autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in adults. She also has extensive experience conducting cognitive assessments in children.
